More than 25% of American youth experience a serious traumatic event by the age of 16, and many suffer multiple and repeated traumas. These experiences can have a negative impact on an individual’s physical, social, and emotional well-being.

The effects of these adverse experiences can be offset by one thing.

The presence of a stable, caring adult figure in a youth’s life.

This two-part training explores the impact Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) have on the brain, and how these can manifest in different behaviors in different settings. Participants learn about proactive measures that support struggling youth, restorative practices, and how to provide high support while maintaining high expectations while working with youth.
